A much nicer day for bridge viewing. This time, the Throgs Neck overlooking Bayside, Queens. Wonderful, if slightly treacherous, peninsula made of interlocking stones nicknamed “The Rocks” at Fort Totten. Photo by Jie Jenny Zou

Bridge |brij|:
noun: a connective structure
verb: the act of connecting
analogy: my current career confusion

I’ve decided to forgo posting iPhone photos of a sea of Columbia graduates in caps and gowns for actual bodies of water.

This past Wednesday, I graduated again. There was pomp. There was circumstance. And by Friday, the career jitters had already settled in.

I love accolades and celebrations as much as the next person, but I get antsy fast. Time to start a new chapter.
